Attendance Instructions:
  • Registration and participation is easy! You will receive an email a few days before the seminar which contains a link to the seminar. You will not need a second phone line to attend the seminar because the audio and video come through your browser. If you choose to listen to the audio via a telephone line please follow the instructions you receive shortly before the seminar via email. Note: If you choose to listen to the audio portion via a telephone line, your audio stream could be somewhat "out of sync" with the slide presentation. In the unlikely event that you need assistance, we will have people standing by to help you.
  • AOL USERS: Our seminar provider does not recommend using AOL's main web browser, Netscape 6. Using your default AOL browser may cause problems with your participation in the seminar. You may CONTINUE to use your AOL connection to the internet, and in the event that you do so, we strongly recommend that you use the Microsoft Internet Explorer web browser to access the seminar. You can leave Netscape running and then open Microsoft Internet Explorer and it will become your browser for that particular session.
  • Optimizing Real Player: If you are having difficulty hearing the audio portion of the seminar, it may be due to settings within Real Player.

Configure Real Player 8 basic as follows if you experience audio problems:

  1. Open Real Player via the Start --> Program menu.
  2. From the top menu bar select View --> Preferences. This will open the Real Player preferences dialogue box.
  3. Click on the 'Connection tab - Adjust the the Normal Bandwidth text drop down menu to display one setting lower (Real Player would have auto-detected your connection speed during installation).
  4. Click on the 'Transport' tab. Make sure that 'Use specified transports' is selected.
  5. Click on the 'RTSP Settings' button. Set it to 'Use HTTP Only'.
  6. Click on the 'PNA Settings' button. Set it to 'Use HTTP Only'.
  7. Click OK.
  • AVOID DISCONNECTS FROM YOUR INTERNET SERVICE PROVIDER: Some ISP's kick you off your connection every 15 minutes if there is no activity on your browser. To avoid this, you may click on the Submit Questions button at the top left hand corner of your screen and send a blank message every 5 to 10 minutes.
  • OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION:  Do not run other applications while you are on our web-conference. Other applications may interfere with the  web-conferencing technology. We do not recommend that run other applications while participating in our seminars.
  • TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE:  If you are having any difficulty with either the audio or visual portions of the conference, you may call technical support at the following toll-free number: 1.877.549.3137.  Have the conference ID handy.
  • IF YOU LOSE YOUR CONNECTION: Reconnect with your ISP and again click on the seminar link in the email you received.  You will need to log back into the conference using the instructions in the email you received.
